Clemente Ortolani is a founding partner of Prescus Capital with a particular focus on origination.
Prior to Prescus Capital, Clemente worked at UBS from 2007 to 2019, where he co-founded and led the Alternative Capital Group, advising SWFs, pension funds and large family offices on consortium buyouts, cornerstone investments, secondaries and PIPEs. He is a former member of UBS’s Financial Sponsors Group, where he advised financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on leverage buyouts, add-ons, carve-outs, refinancings and exits. He is an infrastructure and project finance banker by background, having worked in UBS’ Transport & Infrastructure Group from 2007 to 2013, where he advised government agencies, infrastructure concessionaires and infrastructure funds across Europe on M&A, PPP/PFIs and privatisations assignments. He started his career in the Corporate Finance Department of Unicredit in 2002.
Clemente received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Catholic University of Milan in 2002 and an MBA from INSEAD in 2007.
